Car accident on I75 leaves one driver dead

Driving can be an efficient and convenient way to get around. It allows the driver to decide when and where he or she wants to go. Nonetheless, an unfortunate side effect of driving is the possibility of getting into a car accident.Car accidents are an all too common occurrence. The accident can range from fender benders to accidents causing serious injuries and significant damage. Oftentimes, accidents are due to the negligence of one or both drivers. An accident on Interstate 75 Wednesday afternoon left one dead. The crash substantially delayed traffic in Pembroke Pines.The accident occurred when a sedan hit the rear bumper of a pickup on the interstate. This contact caused the truck to overturn. The southbound lanes were closed for a few hours to allow the Florida Highway Patrol to investigate the accident. This accident also left the exit ramp to Sheridan Street closed.The driver of the pickup was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The driver of the sedan suffered no injuries, but the driver's car sustained over $15,000 worth of damages.No charges were filed for the accident, but the accident is still under investigation.If the accident was the result of negligence on the part of one of the drivers, the injured party may be entitled to compensation for the accident. This could include compensation for medical bills, property damage and lost wages.
